Hall of Fame

The Summerville High School Foundation has created an autonomous committee, known as the Hall of Fame Committee. The purpose of this community-based committee is to accept nominations from the local area for Hall of Fame Awards which will be awarded annually at the Foundation’s annual fundraiser, the Feed the Bears Dinner/Auction.

Hall of Fame awards have been given in the past for graduates of Summerville Union High School District to students who have excelled in sports. Typically, awards were passed out in the form of life-time, all sports passes to sporting events at the high school. Awardees names were read during half-time at Summerville Basketball games. Interest in doing the awards faded away during the mid-1980’s.

The newly formed community committee for Hall of Fame awards will be honoring nominees to the Hall of Fame, annually, not only in Athletics, but in Arts and Academics as well.

Nominations will be accepted for those who graduated from the Summerville Union High School District at least 5 years ago and will be accepted from all district alumni as well as community members and staff. Nomination Forms are available at the Summerville Union High School District web site (summbears.net), in the school office, and also at the Summerville High School Foundation web site (summervillefoundation.org).

Nominations must be received by April 15, 2024
for the Hall of Fame in Fall of 2024.
