Jessica graduated from Summerville Union High School in 2005. She enjoyed being involved in various extracurricular activities including Jazz at 8, Walk the Talk, and ASB. The majority of her passion through high school went to the softball team. Through her 4 years at Summerville she pitched for the Varsity team and was team captain for 3 of the years. Her junior year, she pitched every inning of every game and the team went to play-offs for the first time in a decade. The relationships she formed on the field, she still cherishes to this day. Jessica helped with fundraisers and to gather community support to fund the building of the softball field and tennis courts that were built shortly after her graduation.

Jessica was Junior class vice-president and graduated as ASB president her senior year. Jessica’s involvement in student government and leadership on and off the softball field prepared her for her future career as a leader in the health and wellness field, RN, and successful entrepreneur. After graduation, she attended Point Loma Nazarene University where she graduated with her Bachelor’s in Nursing and was able to play on the college softball team.

Some of the highlights of her highschool experience include her 4 years working with Ben Watson and Ray Emerald on the softball field, the bonds she created with her teammates, working with Mr. Heldstab in ASB, working with Mr. Suggs with the Walk the Talk Christian club on campus, participating in homecoming events, singing with Mrs. Young, and her Senior project which was a trip to San Francisco to feed and work with the homeless. Scarves were made and donated by Mrs. Mager and her girls.

All of these experiences and relationships shaped the trajectory of Jessica’s future. She now lives in North Idaho with her husband and 3 little kids. She runs a thriving wellness coaching business called Health Patriot Coaching where she works with clients from around the country to set up foundational wellness programs for them to address foundational health needs. The mission behind her business is to prevent preventable suffering from lifestyle disease. Her and her husband run three total family businesses in Real Estate and concrete where they have the freedom of travel, opportunity, time and location. Being raised in Tuolumne County gave them the standard of how they wanted to raise their kids in a slower paced, small community with big opportunity and they’re doing just that.

One valuable lesson Jessica learned that she’d love to share with current students at Summerville High is shared in the form of a question- “What would your dream life look like in the next 5-10 years, if time and money were no object?” Get clarity on that question and then go for it! Don’t limit yourself to your current circumstances or other people’s opinions. Just because it may seem impossible, doesn’t mean it is. We have one life to live, we might as well live it to the fullest. Learn to invest in yourself and surround yourself with people and opportunities that will bring out the BEST version of who God created you to be. We look forward to seeing you change the world.
