John LaTorre, Class of 1975 – Summerville High School Foundation

Played in the Summerville High School Band for four years.

Later served as a Board member of the Tuolumne County Arts Council.

Played in the Mother Lode Brass and Reed Band for 34 years.

Founding member of Stage 3 Theatre.

My favorite teachers were Wayne DeGennaro and Nancy Schwartzman.

Later was one of the founding members of the Summerville High School Foundation.

Served on the Tuolumne County Planning Commission, Historical Society, and Solid Waste Committee.

Four years on the Tennis team.

Married and had two beautiful children, Michael and Sara, who both attended Summerville and now reside in Bend, Oregon.
