The 2026 Homecoming Game is set for Friday, October 23, 2026, so our CAB event will be the weekend before Homecoming Week at SHS. We’ll also be celebrating 115 years of Excellence in Education at Summerville Union HS District. In other words, it’s a real Bear’s Fiesta!
Here’s the general schedule for the 2026 Calling All Bears (CAB) celebration.
Friday, October 16th — A reception for ALL alumni at Mother Lode Christian School from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Light snacks and Mocktails will be served.
Saturday, October 17th–
7:30 am Pancake Breakfast at Tuolumne Veterans’ Memorial Hall
11:00 am Downtown Parade
12:00 Noon, In the Westside Memorial Park area, DJ Music, photo booth, food trucks, no host bar, Alumni Booths, URSA MAJOR booths, cornhole contest, facepainting, raffle ticket sales, and silent auctions, “Bear Gear Sales” area, Alumni Baseball game, SHS music, Alumni Jazz at 8 performance,
5:00 pm Hall of Fame dinner at Memorial Hall with Hall of Fame Awards for 2025, and 2026 Honorees. Hosted by: Summerville H S Foundation. Sergio’s Taqueria is helping us roll back the dinner ticket prices to old school “Feed the Bears” days.
We’re still looking for a few folks to help make the weekend extra special:
- A face painter, balloon artist, food trucks in the park, and any other fun park activities we may not have thought of yet.
- For the parade, we’d be delighted to welcome floats from local businesses and non-profits, alumni groups, horseback riders, convertibles, classic cars, street rods, antique cars, and community groups of all kinds. - We’re also looking for ballplayers for the Alumni Softball game at the Jerry Whitehead, Sr. Field in Tuolumne. If you’d like to play, please visit our website by September 5th to sign up. Summervillefoundation.org.
Seriously we are Calling All Bears . . . please help us spread the word to alumni far and wide! Call your family and friends and invite them to attend. Entrance to activities in the park is free!
