Christmas Town Sonora, sponsored by the Sonora Chamber of Commerce features a Christmas Tree Lane in Courthouse Park each year. Last year the Summerville High School Foundation invited the student leaders of ASB to help us put together a Bears themed Christmas Tree. We got an Honorable Mention Award. We had so much fun doing it last year we decided to do it again this year.
We ordered some large orange Christmas balls for the tree, ASB put together some new ornaments for the tree, too. We also invested in battery operated lights for the tree. The wonderful result is in the photo of the tree pictured here. You can go see the tree in person during the day or after dark in Courthouse Park, Sonora, Ca.
Deena Soto, the teacher/advisor for the award winning Associated Student Body (ASB) Organization at Summerville High School and Trent Simonson, an alumnus of Summerville and SHS Foundation Board Member got together on Wednesday morning, November 30th and created the most spectacular Christmas Tree the bears have ever done!
